Opening Ceremony for Grade 2020

Grade 2020 Opening Ceremony was held on the morning of October 19th. The ceremony was hosted by Vice President Wu Gengqing, and Secretary of the Party Committee of the school Liu Xiaohong, President Wu Kun, Vice President Wu Dan and the directors of all departments attended.
At the ceremony, the winners of the Freshman Scholarship for Grade 2020 were commended. Secretary Liu Xiaohong awarded the prize to the winners.
President Wu Kun delivered a speech. On behalf of all the faculty, students and staff, he extended warm congratulations and welcome to the arrival of the new class of 2020. He introduced the basic situation, development history and achievements of the school to the new students, and urged the students to actively respond to the national requirements of epidemic prevention and control, and to continue to fight the COVID-19, while starting a new life on campus. President Wu Kun put forward several hopes and requirements to the students: First, they should be firm in their ideals and beliefs, and they should be firm advocates of the Party's patriotism and socialism. Second, we must work hard to build for, moral and technical double repair, do a qualified socialist builder and successor. Third, we must take on our responsibilities and be young people of the new era with ideals, responsibilities and achievements.
At the end of the ceremony, the freshmen sang a beautiful hymn "Ode to the Motherland", waving the five-starred red flag with the melody of the song. They expressed their respect and love to the motherland with the beautiful melody and affectionate singing.
