The students of Civil Engineering Department won the International BIM Award

On December 9th, the 5th International BIM Award Conference hosted by Building Smart Hong Kong (BSHK) was held in Shenzhen. The student’s work "Teaching Building and Student Dormitory Project of the Second Phase of the New Campus of Guangxi Polytechnic of Construction" won the Best BIM Education Award and the Best BIM Education Application Award. Another student’s work "Multifunctional Gymnasium Project of New Campus of Guangxi Polytechnic of Construction" won the Best BIM Education Application Award. Both works were under the guidance of several teachers from the Department of Civil Engineering. They are Mr. Huang Hao, Ms. Pang Yiling, Mr. Huang Xihua, Mr. Huang Ke,
Mr. Long Quan, Mr. Ban Zhipeng , Mr.Lin Guanhong, Mr. Luo Guofu, Ms. Lu Yaomin, Mr. Huang Ping and Mr.Yang Ming. In this competition, the students of civil engineering department have made a historic breakthrough in the grade and number of awards.
It is known that the Hong Kong International BIM Award Conference, an annual award, recognizes the achievements of the BIM industry, and aims to encourage outstanding BIM projects and BIM organizations to continue the innovation and development in the industry. More than 650 entries were received from Hong Kong, Singapore, the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia, Malaysia, South Korea and Japan. More than 30 different types of awards are set this year, including Best BIM Municipal Design Enterprise Award, Best Government Project Application Award, Best Terminal Project BIM Application Award, and Best University BIM Application Award, etc.
